SINReM 2019 kick-off!
On the 12th of September the SINReM kick-off took place. Representatives from Uppsala University, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Ghent University, VITO, Sandvik and UMICORE presented on interesting topics such as circular economy, mining and recycling of batteries. The SINReM consortium is proud to present the 2019 cohort, counting 25 students from 20 nationalities, with a near perfect gender balance!
The SINReM kick-off took place on September 12th 2019 with the full SINReM consortium represented, including EIT Raw Materials Academy.
Programme director prof. Gijs Du Laing presented a general overview of the SINReM master programme. Next Prof. Gero Frisch and Prof. Abigail Barker presented TUFreiberg and Uppsala University.
EIT Raw Materials Academy was represented by Stefano Arcripete, Umicore by Christina Meskers & Prof. Tom Hennebel.
Karl Vranken from VITO presented on challenges in the Circular Economy.
Hamid Manouchehri from Sandvik gave a clear overview of all Sandvik activities.
Jorgina Akushika student representative of cohort 2018 presented on the SINReM student life in the 1st year of SINReM.
More 2nd year SINReM students joined afterwards!
The kick-off presentations were followed by a social networking event and a barbecue!
